What's What?
Homework Policy
Work is rarely assigned as homework. Assignments are given in class and what is not finished during class should be taken home and completed. Second graders should have no more than an average of twenty minutes a night. If your child consistently has more than this, please let me know. Ten minutes of this time should be spent reading.
Take Home Folders
Take Home Folders will be sent home on Monday for the second graders. The folder will contain their work from the past week. Please look at your child's work, sign the folder, and return it to school. You may keep the work inside unless it needs to be signed and returned to school. Please remember that all assignments are a work in progress.

Reading Calendars for Readopoly
The reading calendar will come home in the take home folders. They should be returned in the folder on Tuesday to be able to play Readopoly. The calendar will then be sent back home that night for the next week. The reading goal for the week (from Tuesday to Monday) is 50 pages.
